BPC Round Robin Event

Another great initiative from BPC happened last Thursday.

By Sill Lyra

Considering the weather, the time table was moved to 10 AM, a very smart move from the organizers.

We all enjoyed a beautiful sunny day of at least 2 hours of pickleball, with a friendly fierce competition from all participants.

Indeed, there is not another way to improve our game, than participating in events of this nature.

The self-control to face our best competitor…ourselves. That adrenaline-induced desire to -smack the ball, when the right move should be a gentile touch to win the play…this is the real challenge of the game…this wonderful game that is pickle ball.

Paddles up my friends! On October 24th we will have another opportunity for the 3.0 and 3.5 and on the 26th for the 2.0 2.5 players.

Medals at Nevada Senior Games

From Lawana Johnson:

Tim Gleason & Dick Johnson enjoyed playing in the Nevada Senior Games in Las Vegas two weeks ago.
It was an unusual time for us all because the tourney was only two days after the terrible shooting and the whole city was in mourning all week.
Nevertheless, the city and people, under their expressed feeling of “Vegas Strong,” continued bravely on with life. So sad, but very admirable!
