Come join us Memorial Day Weekend for an outdoor, unsanctioned, skills-based, double-elimination tournament. We will be using the Onix PURE 2 outdoor pickleballs and competing on 8 courts (with 1 practice court).

Schedule

Friday, May 26: afternoon – Court preparation, followed by open play
Saturday, May 27: all day – Men’s Doubles (2.5, 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5+), followed by a social mixer and “Beat Boise’s Best” (Read more about Beat Boise’s Best.)
Sunday, May 28: all day – Mixed Doubles (2.5, 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5+)
Monday, May 29: all day -Women’s Doubles (2.5, 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5+)

All participants who register on or before April 28 will receive an Awesome Pickleball T-shirt.

Cost

The cost is:

• $40 – one event
• $45 – two events

Participants who volunteer to referee will be refunded $5 for each day they referee matches. This refund will be issued after the completion of the tournament. Please indicate your willingness to be a referee during the registration process.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation Deadline: 05/19/17

Must request refund by email (BAPAtournament@gmail.com) on or before May 19.

When requested, refunds will be issued minus a $10 fee for processing. There are no refunds after May 19.

There are no refunds for events cancelled due to weather. Participants will receive their T-shirt (if applicable) and a discount of up to $20 on the next club event.

Rules/Format of Play

This is an outdoor, unsanctioned, skills-based, double-elimination tournament using the Onix PURE 2 outdoor pickleballs. Skill levels may be merged, based on entries.

All matches are 2 out of 3 games to 11 points win by 2, except the losers brackets which are 1 game to 15 points win by 2.

Matches will be played in accordance with International Federation of Pickleball rules.

Issues that cannot be resolved by the court referee will be resolved by the Head Referee.

Food Information

Water, Gatorade, and Energy Snacks will be provided.

Washington State Senior Games

Friday through Sunday, July 21-23, 2017

Categories, Divisions, and Age Groups

· Medals will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners in each event
· Categories: Men’s Singles, Women’s Singles, Men’s Doubles, Women’s Doubles, and Mixed Doubles
· Divisions: Each Category will have skill levels and then age groups within the skill levels
· Age Groups: Starting at 50, and then in 10 year increments to 70+

Entry Fees
· $23 Early registration fee if postmarked by May 26th and $33 to July 11th
· $9 event fee per event (singles, doubles, and mixed doubles).

This is an open state tournament which means that any senior can enter from any state or Canada can enter. But players need to be a USAPA member to play in this sanctioned tournament.
