New Wednesday Play!

Paula Ekins, Recreation Coordinatorhas found another day and 3 more hours in her busy schedule at the Fort Boise Community Center for us to play our game of Pickleball.
Every Wednesday through April from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.
Fort Boise Community Center
700 Robbins Rd, Boise, ID 83702
(208) 608-7680
Let’s support that time and day and just maybe it will become a permanent scheduled day and time.
When you see Paula be sure and thank her for finding more time for our game.

To Tournament or Not to Tournament?

TwinsBPC member Kathy Getto is wintering in the Phoenix area, and she’s had the opportunity to play in a few tournaments with her sister Carol Amos.

Carol lives in Fallon, Nevada, and is her area’s USAPA ambassador.

Both share a love of the game and relish any opportunity to play. Here are their reasons to play in a tournament:

  • Playing in tournaments allows you to test your skills against others–either near the same age or in the same skill level.
  • It also offers you the opportunity to meet new people who are also passionate for the game.
  • While only a few actually win medals at tournaments, EVERYONE has a good time! 🙂

Monthly Tournament

A divisional tournament, all skill levels, was held on February 17th at the YMCA Public Courts “Homecourt” in Meridian.

Fifty-one players from Boise Area Pickleball Association and Boise Pickleball Club participated. It was a good experience for future tournament directors and players.

Pickleball fun was had by all.

All pickleball players are encouraged to take a leadership role in the monthly tournaments to gain experience with directing tournaments.

All players are encouraged to play each month as well to meet new players, get experience in tournament play and to just have a good time .
