Idaho Visit was No Small Potatoes!
From Carson Spencer
Below is a really nice article and photos (titled “Idaho Visit Was No Small Potatoes!”) about the great, very positive impression that Idaho and Idaho’s athletes in all sports made on the CEO (Marc Riker) of the National Senior Games when he came to Idaho and watched competitions in many sports here. It is posted on the National Senior Games website and blog (see below) which goes out nationally. Pretty cool for Idaho! And, especially cool for pickleball, because our sport is covered very well there and some pickleball players also are in the article’s group picture that shows the medalists for table tennis, too.
It would be especially good, considering how Mike Thornton, the Idaho Senior Games Director, continues to so strongly support pickleball, like pb players and others noticing that he again put more pictures of our sport in the big ISG brochure than any other sport. And, it would be nice as a gesture of appreciation for his being such a great partner with us in building the sport throughout Idaho. Because the CEO does not go to all states, It was a real honor for Mike, athletes, and all Idahoans to have him come to Idaho. And, pickleball, and the great job Mike has done, is a major reason why he came. Besides saying how much he enjoyed and was impressed by Idaho, the CEO gives a very nice compliment to Mike at the end of the article.
